“I came to know Hugh personally later in both of our lives. We have become fast email correspondents and good friends. The pleasure of this relationship has developed in large part because of Hugh's open and honest sharing of himself, from Pickle Ball to ‘what's happening to our world.’ As we age, we lose good friends and because we are somewhat set in our ways - making new friends is not always easy. Not so with Hugh. He is a fresh breath of care for his family, love for his profession, concern for his friends, thankfulness for his life, and openness about himself. To make such a friend during this season has been a gift unexpected and greatly valued.”
