intervention for low-income older adults experiencing depression. The significance
of this work is underscored by findings that depression in community-dwelling older
adults remains undertreated due to a limited geriatric workforce and a lack of treatment
options that are acceptable to older adults.

The promise of such interventions is that they may be more acceptable to many older
adults than formal mental healthcare, and at the same time significantly improve clinical
outcomes. Expanding the geriatric workforce in this way also provides opportunities
